Psychoactive plants have been used traditionally for thousands of years by human cultures all around the world and many play a significant role in society. An entheogen, is any psychoactive substance that induces a spiritual experience and is aimed at spiritual development. In recent times many have been taken up by the “casual drug user” as a cheap alternative to chemical based drugs. For recreational use they may be classified as hallucinogens. However, don’t underestimate the potency of these plants.
